Adding dining flexibility to your APT tours are Dine Around Dinners.  Available at selected locations, Dine Around Dinners give you a choice of restaurants so you can explore the local cuisine for yourself.  Again, it's all included in your tour price.  Enjoy Dine Around Dinners in Nelson, Mt Cook, Queenstown and Christchurch.

Airport Transfers

Luggage

Each traveller is entitled to take one suitcase, the sum of its length, width and depth not to exceed 160cm (63 inches), weight limit 20 kilos (44 pounds).  Airlines permit only 1 cabin bag per person, in which personal items such as cameras, make up etc should be carried.  Over-limit luggage cannot be carried.  Luggage is carried at "owners risk".  Luggage handling/porterage is included in your tour.

 
Single Travellers

If you are travelling alone and are happy to share a room with another single traveller of the same gender, there's no need to pay a single supplement.  Furthermore, we guarantee to find you a single traveller with whom to share a room or we'll be happy to give you a single room by yourself at no additional cost.    To qualify for this offer you must be willing not to smoke in your rooms and accept that compatability with your room mate cannot be guaranteed.
On selected departure dates on the popular 21 Day Great New Zealand Experience, you can save up to 50% of the single supplement fare.  Please ask for details.

 
Great Discounts and Children's Travel 

Triple Discount.  Three people sharing one room receive 5% discount.
Child Discount. A child under 15 sharing a room with at least one adult receives 20% discount.  Children under 7 years of age are not recommended to participate in an escorted coach tour.  Children under 18 years must be accompanied by an adult.
Group Discount.  For groups of 10 or more, ask about our special group discounts.
Discounted Departure Dates.  For great savings look for the highlighted departure dates.

 
Coach Tour Price Inclusions 

The tour fares include your meals as specified, accommodation, sightseeing, park entrance fees, cruises, transfers where needed.... even tipping is taken care of.  However you may wish to budget for non-touring activities such as scenic flights, helicopter rides etc.  These adventure options must be confirmed at the time of booking.

 
Seat Allocation on Coach Tours 

To ensure all passengers enjoy forward and window facing seats, we have incorporated a daily seat rotation system.

 
Booking, Amendment and Cancellation Information  

A NZ£126 per person, per tour, deposit is required within 7 days of booking, with the balance due 6 weeks prior to departure.

A charge of £21 per person will apply to any addition or modification requested after the original booking has been confirmed.

For cancellations, the following applies:

General Information 
This information relates to Australian Pacific Touring Pty Ltd, herein after referred to as "The Company".
 
Exclusion of Liability
1.  While The Company will take all reasonable steps to provide an enjoyable tour, it accepts no liability for any loss of enjoyment experienced by passengers due to circumstances beyond its control.  The Company further accepts no liability for any loss beyond its reasonable control and provides no warranties in additionto those set out under the Trade Practices Act 1974 and nothing herein restricts any passenger from exercising their rights and remedies pursuant to law.

2. Your travel agent will forward booking confirmations and other payments to us on your behalf, but your travel agent is not our agent for the purpose of receipt of monies.  Receipt of booking confirmations and subsequent payments by the travel agent does not constitute receipt of those monies by us and the travel agent has no authority expressed or implied to receive monies on our behalf.  There is no liability on the part of The Company in respect to any monies paid to the passenger's travel agent unless and until The Company notifies the passenger (by way of a booking confirmation advice or payment recipt advice) that monies have been received by The Company.

3. The optional tour excursions are not operated by or at the direction or on behalf of The Company or its employees or agents or any other persons or companies associated with The Company.  By taking bookings for these tours, The Company acts as each optional tour operator's agent.

4. These tours include the services of operators other than The Company e.g. hoteliers, airlines and optional tour excursions, which are not under the direct control of The Company and while The Company takes all reasonable care in selecting these operators, it cannot accept responsibility for those operators' conduct or the conduct of their representative employees or agents for for any ramifications of that conduct.

5.  On tours including activities such as trekking, swimming and snorkelling, passengers accept ath degrees of risk are involved.

6. No passenger will be permitted to embark or continue on tour while their mental or physical condition is, in the opinion of any representative of The Company, such as to render them incapable of caring for themselves, or whereby they become objectionable to other passengers, or they become a hazard to themselves or other passengers.  The Company will not be responsible for expenses resulting in such persons being precluded from completing the tour.
 
Itineraries
Itineraries are subject to alteration without notice and intended as a guide only.  Alterations may come about due to road, weather or tidal conditions, strikes, public holidays, local festivals or other reasons.  Due to the nature of the terrain and remote areas, weather fluctuations can adversely affect road conditions which may necessitate alterations to itinerary with little or no notice.  Any additional expense incurred by the passenger is not The Company's responsibility.

The Company can give no guarantee as to the exact arrival and departure times for carriers and operators used by The Company in the tour and The Company will not be liable for failure to make connections with any other services or attractions beyond its control.

Freedom of Choice Touring, Dine Around Dinners and Freedom of Choice Dining are booked by the Tour Director while on tour.  They are subject to availability, seasonal and operational factors.  

As is normally the case with group tours, a minimum number of bookings is required in order for a tour to be financially viable and to have a pleasant group atmosphere.  In the event that adequate numbers cannot be achieved, it may be necessary to cancel a scheduled departure and to offer the nearest possible alternative date (for a full refund of monies paid for APT ground content touring).  The date on which the decision is made whether a tour will operate is usually 4 - 8 weeks before the scheduled departure date.
 
Smoking
Government regulations forbit smoking on tourist coaches, however frequent stops are made for those wishing to smoike.  Smoking is not permitted in twin share "matched" rooms.  Requests for smoking/non smoking rooms will be passed on to hotels but cannot be guaranteed.
 
Money Back Guarantee
If a problem occurs during your tour, then in your own best ineterests, you should advise your Tour Director so that steps can be taken to resolve the matter there and then.  If you remain dissatisfied, any complaint must be made in writing to The Company within 30 days.  Any service not supplied will be refunded in full.
 
Travel Insurance  
We strongly recommend passengers to take out travel insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances which may arise (including cancellation fees, medical and curtailment expenses, loss of luggage, early departure from tour due to death or illness etc).  Ask us for details at the time of booking.
