Day 1 Auckland golf at Formosa This morning you will be transferred by water taxi to the Formosa Golf Club for your first round of golf in New Zealand. The Formosa Golf Club is recognised as one of New Zealand’s finest courses. Afternoon and evening at leisure. Overnight Auckland  Day 2 Auckland – Free day   A free day for sightseeing. Perhaps take a cruise to beautiful Waiheke Island for a day of local wine tasting and cuisine, returning to Auckland late in the afternoon (optional). Overnight Auckland  Day 3 Auckland – North Shore golf at Gulf Harbour Pick up your rental car and drive north to Gulf Harbour Country Club where you will be booked for a late morning tee off. Time at leisure after golf at one of the beautiful east coast beaches. Driving Time Auckland – Gulf Harbour approx 1 hour Overnight North Shore  Day 4 North Shore – Mount Maunganui golf at Mt Maunganui An easy motorway drive across the Auckland Harbour Bridge to head south for the beach resort of Mount Maunganui. Suggested tee off time is 1.30pm at the Mount Maunganui Golf Club. Driving Time Auckland to Mt Maunganui approx 3 ½ hours Overnight Mount Maunganui  Day 5 Mount Maunganui – Rotorua golf at Rotorua - optional Through the Kaimai Mamaku Forest Park, the beautiful scenic drive south to Rotorua is a real picture. This afternoon, play 18 holes at the Rotorua Golf Club. Driving Time Mt Maunganui – Rotorua approx 1 ¼ hours Overnight Rotorua  Day 6 Rotorua   Relax and enjoy your day in the thermal wonderland of Rotorua. We have included entry to the Polynesian Spa – you deserve a soak by now! This evening we suggest a traditional Maori hangi dinner and concert. Overnight Rotorua  Day 7 Rotorua – Wairakei/Taupo golf at Wairakei It’s a short drive from Rotorua to play golf at Wairakei International Golf Course. The thermal activity makes for an interesting landscape! Driving Time Rotorua – Wairakei approx 1 hour Overnight Wairakei/Taupo  Day 8 Wairakei/Taupo   A day at leisure to enjoy this alpine lake region. The choices are yours and some options are: a lake cruise, guided trout fishing, spa and pamper at De Bretts Spa, walk along the beach followed by coffee or a glass of wine. Overnight Wairakei/Taupo  Day 9 Wairakei/Taupo - Christchurch   Drive back to Rotorua Airport and surrender your rental car. Fly to Christchurch this morning where another rental car awaits you (flight not included). The rest of the day is free to enjoy the sights of Christchurch. Driving Time Wairakei/Taupo – Rotorua approx 1 hour Overnight Christchurch  Day 10 Christchurch A day at leisure in graceful Christchurch.  Optional golf available at any number of local championship and club courses conveniently located in the city environs.   Overnight Christchurch  Day 11 Christchurch - Wanaka   A full day’s drive today. Cross the Canterbury Plains through Geraldine and Fairlie, then over Burke’s Pass into the vast Mackenzie basin region. See the turquoise water of Lake Tekapo, Lake Pukaki with its views of Mount Cook and Lake Ruataniwha. The tranquil waters of Lake Wanaka greet you at the end of the day. Driving Time Christchurch – Wanaka approx 5 hours Overnight Wanaka  Day 12 Wanaka golf at Wanaka No golf holiday is complete without a game at beautiful Wanaka. From the course you can enjoy lake views towards the rugged Southern Alps. We suggest an early tee off at 8.30am so that you can enjoy the lakeside ambience in the afternoon. Overnight Wanaka  Day 13 Wanaka – Queenstown golf at Kelvin Heights A short drive over the Crown Range to Queenstown. Play 18 holes at the Queenstown Golf Club at Kelvin Heights. If the steep holes don’t take your breath away, the stunning lake and mountain views in the late afternoon certainly will! Driving Time Wanaka – Queenstown approx 2 hours Overnight Queenstown  Day 14 Queenstown golf at Millbrook - optional A short 15 minute drive to Arrowtown for an early 8.30 start at Millbrook Resort. This course is widely known as one of New Zealand’s best. Don’t take the golf cart unless you have to take the time to enjoy the walk and the wonderful scenery. After golf make your way back to Queenstown for a free afternoon. Overnight Queenstown  Day 15 Queenstown – Te Anau golf at Te Anau - optional Follow Lake Wakatipu south to the rich farming land of Southland. At Lake Te Anau you can play the country course this afternoon. This course has spectacular views over Lake Te Anau. Pay your green fees by their honesty box system. The course is challenging but fun if you like trees. Driving Time Queenstown – Te Anau approx 2 hours Overnight Te Anau  Day 16 Te Anau – Milford Sound – Te Anau A free day to enjoy the southern lakes. Te Anau is the gateway to the vast Fiordland National Park. You can drive to Milford Sound for a cruise on the fiord, or head to Manapouri and join a day trip to the more remote Doubtful Sound (optional). Overnight Te Anau  Day 17 Te Anau - Dunedin   A morning drive to Dunedin, renowned for its Scottish heritage and gothic architecture. It’s also home to a rare land-based colony of Royal Albatross. Driving Time Te Anau – Dunedin approx 4 ½ hours Overnight Dunedin  Day 18 Dunedin golf at Dunedin Play Balmacewin Golf Course this morning. We suggest a 9.00am tee off. This afternoon, take a relaxing wildlife cruise on Dunedin Harbour with Monarch Wildlife Cruises. Overnight Dunedin  Day 19 Dunedin - Christchurch   Today you travel north up the east coast to Christchurch. We recommend that you stop at the mysterious Moeraki Boulders for lunch. Driving Time Dunedin – Christchurch approx 5 hours Overnight Christchurch  Day 20 Christchurch golf at Clearwater - optional One last round today to top off your holiday. 18 holes this morning at Clearwater Resort will leave the of the day free to enjoy the ambience of the Garden City. We recommend a stroll in the Botanical Gardens and Arts Centre and Museum followed by dinner at one of the outdoor restaurants on the banks of the Avon River.
