Day 1 Auckland golf at Formosa This morning you will be transferred to the Formosa Golf Club for your first round of golf. Transfer back to Auckland city for afternoon and evening at leisure. We suggest a stroll around Viaduct Harbour, famous for America’s Cup sailing and location of many of Auckland’s popular restaurants. Overnight Auckland  Day 2 Auckland   A free day for golf or sightseeing, your choice. Perhaps spoil yourself to a cruise across to Waiheke Island for a winery lunch. Overnight Auckland  Day 3 Auckland - North Shore golf at Gulf Harbour Pick up your rental car and drive up to Gulf Harbour where you have a 10.00 am tee off. Play 18 holes this afternoon at the Mt Maunganui Golf Club. Driving Time North Shore – Mt Maunganui approx 3 ½ hours Overnight Mount Maunganui  Day 5 Mount Maunganui – Rotorua – Wairakei/Taupo A beautifully scenic drive this morning south to Rotorua, through the Kaimai Mamaku Forest Park. Pause and enjoy the lake and thermal views of Rotorua before continuing on the short drive further south to Wairakei. Driving Time Mt Maunganui – Wairakei approx 2 ½ hours Overnight Wairakei/Taupo  Day 6 Wairakei/Taupo golf at Wairakei Resort Play golf at Wairakei International Golf Course this morning. Remainder of day at leisure for sightseeing around the Wairakei/Lake Taupo region. Overnight Wairakei/Taupo  Day 7 Taupo – Kapiti Coast   Travel through the Tongariro National Park, across the volcanic Central Plateau south to the Capital City of Wellington, sprawling over the hills surrounding Wellington Harbour. Driving Time Taupo – Wellington approx 5 hours Overnight Wellington  Day 8 Wellington golf at Paraparaumu - optional A short drive this morning for a round on the Paraparaumu links championship course on the spectacular Kapati Coast. This is the international links course played by Tiger Woods during the 2002 New Zealand open. Drive to Wellington. We suggest a visit to Te Papa National Museum this afternoon. Driving Time Wellington – Paraparamu approx 1 hour, one way Overnight Wellington  Day 9 Wellington - Picton - Nelson   Drop off your rental car at the Wellington ferry terminal and take a morning ferry to the South Island. Cruise out of Wellington Harbour, cross Cook Strait, through the spectacular Marlborough Sounds to Picton. Pick up your rental car on arrival. Choose your route - either the Queen Charlotte Drive through the numerous native bush bays of the Marlborough Sounds, or travel inland through the vineyards of Blenheim and Marlborough. Ferry Time to Picton 3 hours Driving Picton - Nelson approx 2 hours Overnight Nelson  Day 10 Nelson – Punakaiki golf at Nelson - optional An early tee off this morning at Nelson. Book an early tee and pay your own green fees. Depart Nelson this afternoon and travel along the Buller Highway to the spectacular coastline at Punakaiki. Take a short stroll to the lookout where the dramatic Tasman Sea is forced through the gaps in the pancake rocks. Spectacular lake and mountain views from the course. After golf you have time for lunch and a stroll along the lakefront before driving over the Crown Range to Lake Wakatipu and Queenstown.
