An early start to uplift your rental vehicle before leaving Christchurch.  Cross the vast patchwork of the Canterbury Plains, via rural towns of Geraldine and Fairlie.  Over Burkes Pass the desert-like Mackenzie Country is contrasted by the jagged snow-capped peaks of the Southern Alps.  Lakes Tekapo and Pukaki offer stunning photo opportunities.  Destination graceful Lake Wanaka.

 Day 2 At Wanaka golf at Wanaka
Your 8.30am tee off time this morning is at Wanaka Golf Club, surely located on some of the best real estate in Wanaka.  Absorb the superb views of the lake and Mt Aspiring National Park beyond.   A gently undulating course.

 Day 3 Wanaka – Queenstown  
Your destination today is Queenstown.  Your choice of route, either via Cromwell which is in the heart of the Bannockburn wine region then on through the rugged Kawarau Gorge with its goldrush relics, or take the alpine route across the Crown Range.  Either way, you'll have time to visit historic Arrowtown en route, perhaps for lunch or an afternoon stroll.

 Day 4 Queenstown golf at Millbrook Resort
A 15 minute drive towards Arrowtown to tee off at 8.30am at Millbrook Resort, a championship course boasting 18 challenging holes. The rugged mountain scenery offers an unsurpassed backdrop. Time this afternoon to enjoy some of the numerous attractions and activities that have made Queenstown famous, such as visit one of the region’s numerous wineries.

 Day 5 Queenstown golf at Kelvin Heights - optional
Just a 10 minutes drive to your 8.30am tee off at Kelvin Heights at the country course of Queenstown Golf Club. With it’s special alpine setting beside Lake Wakatipu and under the Remarkable Ranges this course is sensational. Great views from the top of the hill!
Overnight Queenstown
 Day 6 Queenstown  
A 15 minute drive to Arrowtown to tee off on the country course of Arrowtown with its magnificent views of Coronet Peak. A challenge for any golfer with it’s well placed bunkers, rocky outcrops and trees. An honesty box system works well here so your green fees are not included. Book a tee time by ringing the previous night. After a morning of golf, we suggest you lunch in historic Arrowtown before driving back to Queenstown. Drop off your rental car by 5.00pm.
Optional Extra Day Queenstown – Christchurch  
Keep your rental car for an extra day and drive north via Lakes Pukaki and Tekapo to Christchurch. Drop off your rental car by 5.00pm.

A free day with some optional choices! Te Anau is the gateway to the Fiordland National Park. You might like to drive into Milford Sound for a scenic cruise, or take a short drive to Manapouri and join a cruise to the more remote Doubtful Sound. Both are full day trips. Or you may just like to relax and enjoy the stunning scenery of Te Anau.

 Day 7 Te Anau – Dunedin golf at Te Anau - optional
You will play this morning on the country course of Te Anau with its magnificent mountain and lake views. Green fees not included but the honesty box works really well. A challenge for any golfer with it’s well placed bunkers and trees. After golf you travel east to Dunedin known for it’s Scottish heritage.

Otago Golf Clubs’ Balmacewen with it’s tree lined fairways in the hills above Dunedin is where you will play today. This afternoon take a Monarch Wildlife Cruise of Dunedin Harbour and Peninsula. A wonderful opportunity to see Royal Albatross in flight.

 Day 9 Dunedin – Christchurch  
To day you travel north up the east coast to Christchurch. We suggest a stop at the mysterious Moeraki Boulders for lunch. Surrender rental car on arrival Christchurch.

Your final optional round of golf is at Clearwater Resort, the newest championship course in New Zealand. Officially opened in March 2003 and already established as one of the country’s premier golf resorts, it is set amongst six lakes and designed in collaboration with Sir Bob Charles.
